In my previous non-Tweet post, I mentioned that I would release my Design To Inspire banners to the Vox community for use with Personalized Vox themes. Well, my reason for not yet doing so became clear yesterday when Vox implemented two of my designs as official Vox themes!

I was extremely honored when Lilia from Vox and Six Apart contacted me requesting permission to use my Design To Inspire banners for Vox, LiveJournal, and Typepad. Honestly, upon entering my submissions I had the full intention of releasing any of my submitted banners that did not win the contest to the Vox community, so their request made me extremely happy. I'm glad the team liked my designs enough to use them. I hope all Vox, LiveJournal and Typepad users enjoy my designs, as well as any designs from the Design To Inspire contest that Six Apart may release in the future. I look forward to seeing what additional themes resulting from this contest will be released in the coming months. In the interim I'm going to enjoy switching between the various Vox themes introduced within the past month, and may even use some designed by me!

I made another banner for the Design to Inspire Contest. Please vote for it! (You can also vote for my three other banners, too.) Remember, you can vote for as many banners as you like -- there are a lot of great ones in this contest -- but you can only vote once per design.

Vox blogs may see a great social networking feature sometime within the indefinite future. Six Apart, the parent company of Vox, announced several days ago on their corporate blog that the Action Streams Plugin was introduced for MovableType. Action Streams is an aggregator that publishes your activity elsewhere on the internet to your blog. Thus, your Twitter status updates, Flickr uploads and favorites activity, and so on are included (based on your choosing) on your MovableType blog. (Visual examples can be accessed via my Link, MovableType's blog, or the staff's working demo.) This is similar to, albeit much more robust than, the LoudTwitter application that I and many other bloggers have been using to post their daily Tweets to their blogs. Obviously, this is an exciting, very innovative, and desirable feature for blogs.

Upon being asked if this will eventually be added to TypePad and Vox, Six Apart's David Recordon replied by expressing the company's interest in eventually shipping this feature to both platforms. I really look forward to seeing this come to fruition on Vox. I can't wait!
