As promised, here are custom banners of my Vox VDay Banner Contest submissions. These banners were created by me using Adobe Photoshop. They are free for use on Vox blogs. I have tested each banner (on my second Vox account) to ensure they suit all or most of the currently available Personalized Vox Themes. The first two banners, entitled Pink Hearts and Blue Hearts, work beautifully with any theme featuring white content sections. The remaining banners, entitled Love and available in ten color schemes, feature transparent bottom edges that will work with any theme's background color. Since the color of some theme's headings tend to disappear into a few of these jewel toned Love banners, I have also provided versions depicting an illuminated or shadowed heading section.
Comments, constructive criticism, and encouragement are always appreciated. Please credit and link back to me if you upload or use any of these banners. I would also appreciate a comment here or on the page displaying the enlarged images to let me know when you use one of my custom banners. Enjoy!
After creating my first two Vox banners I felt inspired to attempt another Valentine's Day design for the current vox banner contest. This design is simple yet sophisticated, in part due to its monochromatic scheme. I found that this design worked very well in various jewel tones, so I made banners in various colors that will, hopefully, suit everyone.
What do you think? I'm not sure whether or not I like these more than my first set, but variety is always nice. Constructive criticism and
encouragement is welcome. I'll upload usable banners after the contest.
Since I missed out on the previous banner contests I made sure I had at least one banner finished for this Valentine's themed contest. This is my first attempt at creating a Vox banner. Actually, I created two color schemes of the same design: one for Valentine's Day (featuring candy heart colors for the background), and one that is appropriate for either gender at any time of the year. Additional information can be viewed by clicking on the following images.
I'd love to see what you think. Constructive criticism and encouragement is welcome. I'll upload usable banners after the contest.
